Hitachinaka Onsen Kirari Bettei
Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki
Description
Hitachinaka Onsen emerged in August 2014 from 2,000 meters underground, gushing at a rate of 160 liters per minute at 31.0°C. The spring water is a sodium-bicarbonate-chloride type, rare and valuable in this region. Known as 'the hot spring of warmth,' it excels in heat retention. Rich in bicarbonate ions, it leaves skin feeling refreshed and gentle after bathing. The outdoor bath, 'Ichi-bou no Yu,' offers panoramic views of the countryside and distant cityscape of Mito, allowing guests to relax amidst the whispers of birds and insects. The 'Onnebō' infrared sauna and bedrock bath facilities are among the largest in the region, with multiple options including a women-only room, and can be enjoyed without time limits. Additional amenities include a renowned 'morning-pressed soba' restaurant, relaxation services, scrubbing treatments, and a tranquil rest area with scenic views—perfect for a full day of rejuvenation.
